I had been doing a lot of research on this for my Cayman. Want observations from those who have moved from one detector manufacturer to another, especially helpful would be Escort to Uniden or vice versa. I'd pull the trigger today however, this old dog has concerns with the set-up and response learning curves associated with moving from Escort to the Uniden after a quarter century of using Escort products. I have an opportunity to buy the Uniden R8, which is $100 less expensive and rates higher in most reviews than the Redline. Unfortunately, the Redline is a victim of supply line issues (what isn't) and has effectively been sold out for several months, with no new stock on the horizon or in the foreseeable future. Therefore, I decided to stay with Escort and purchase the fairly recently released Redline 360C. I'm an old dog and, as such, do not relish the idea of learning the appropriate responses to another manufacturer's radar alerts. Thus, her detector is more of a situational awareness tool to ensure she isn't caught off guard. She generally only exceeds the limit by mistake.
